My name is Laurina. Since childhood I have enjoyed the outdoors and felt a strong connection with the energy of Mother Nature; she soothes, cheers and delights. I have a life-long interest in exploring ways of sharing this powerful energy and I have been a keen photographer for many years.
Through this lifelong passion for outdoor photography and my love of music, I found ways to connect with people and show them we care – and this is how Beautifully-Strung was born. Many of the images I have chosen are of plants, from epic trees to tiny flowers. They soothe, cheer and delight. It is my way of sharing the beautiful energy I know Nature provides.
My Limited Edition Greeting Cards feature images from my personal photography collection and other images I’ve collected along the way. Also, I’m delighted to share with you my first Meditations.
The inspiration for many of my creations has come from people I’ve met who have shared moments of hope and fear, love and loss, aspiration and desperation, as well as kindness, frustration and joy, to name but a few!! Thank you to my brother who has been an inspiring photography mentor. Also, thanks to him, I have all the technical kit I could wish for to pursue my aspirations.
The name Beautifully-Strung is inspired by Scotland’s oldest national instrument, the harp or Clarsach.
